The NKU Men's Soccer Project

When Coach Stu Riddle was hired this off-season from Buffalo, he knew competing at the division I level mean't re-shaping the current culture and bringing in some big time recruits. While the Norse's soccer complex is one of the best in the Horizon League, the locker room was missing a few key elements to really drive home that Norse pride. One of the things Coach Riddle wanted to get across when updating the locker room was to let the current team and recruits know they were part of something bigger than just soccer, he wanted them to know they had a home at NKU.

The moment you open the door to the locker room, the first of many quotes are present, starting with, "WHAT'S YOUR CONTRIBUTION?", to "LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR", "YOU ARE HOME", "WE ONLY NEED ONE CHANCE", and "IT'S ALL IN YOUR STATE OF MIND";  these quotes remind current players and recruits that this is a "team first" program.

The rising dot design elements throughout the locker room represent the program and the university wide motto of "ON THE RISE". Using interchangeable flip-frames on the current Team Wall allow Coach Riddle to keep the schedule and team picture fresh from year to year. The large stadium wall mural with a picture of the 2010 National Championship team reminds current players of past successes of the program and the Team Accolades wall displays the hard-working individuals that helped build NKU Men's Soccer into what it is today.
